My name is Jenna and I've been operating an estate sale business for 10 years called Jennarocity Estate Sales. I did my first sale with no estate sale training - I'd never even shopped at one. It was a favor to a friend and I really had no clue what I was doing or what I was getting myself into, but at the end of the sale, I was referred another sale, and then another and another....and here I am, 10 years later, with an incorporated business, a team of amazing people and a business that's never died down. I've made every mistake a person could make doing estate sales for a living, learning through trial and error what type of business model would work best for me. I am an entreprenuer and teacher at heart, and I love to empower others into becoming self-employed business owners by performing a real service for their community. 

This course has been through three updates since I created it in 2019. Every time I received an interesting question from a student, or changed something about my own business model, I updated the course to make it more helpful and relevant. 

I learned that students were looking for two things: how to organize a sale and how to run the business of estate sales. There's lots of resources for how to organize a sale out there, but none about the business of estate sales. The daily accounting issues, how to scale up, how to hire and pay people, how to market to find new sales, how to create a contract....these are the types of things people were looking for. I found that half the people who signed up for the course were people already in the estate sale industry in some capacity. Maybe they'd done a few sales or they were resellers online, and they needed some good information about taking their business to the next level.
